Doing a course at the Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia. It's cold here. Course is good.

I survived another BurningMan in the Black Rock Desert of northern Nevada. It was dusty this year. Moreso than I recall in years past. Perhaps I just noticed it more as I was in a tent for the first time.

Anyway, if you've been, then I don't need to explain it. If you haven't, then there's no way that I can.

I had a nice time. Met some amazing new friends, reconnected with some old ones, and danced the night away. Too bad it was my last year. Although, I've said that 3 times before. :)

What I remember: I was sitting in the Milestones on Lougheed by Willingdon, except I think it was somewhere else because it was really sunny outside, having lunch with Anne Hathaway. Bill Shatner was beside her, and I couldn't see who was beside me. Bill and I were talking about how Gene Roddenbery had been trying to effect social change via sci fi and some of the revolutionary ideas he'd embedded in the writing. After that I was telling Bill how I'd met him years ago on the street somewhere and he'd talked to me about fibre, and given me a card that I had in my wallet. When I took it out, he glanced at it and said "Oh, that's my old number in LA."

Then the alarm woke me up.
